LegalEase Incorporated

Effective Date: June 28, 2026

Last Updated: June 28, 2026

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of LegalEase.com, LegalEase products, websites, tools, applications, dashboards, intake forms, AI-assisted features, document-preparation workflows, partner programs, and related services.

By accessing or using the services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the services.

1. LegalEase Is Not a Law Firm

LegalEase is not a law firm. LegalEase does not provide legal advice, legal representation, legal opinions, court advocacy, or attorney-client services.

LegalEase provides self-help tools, general information, document support, workflow guidance, AI-assisted assistance, and technology services.

Using LegalEase does not create an attorney-client relationship with LegalEase, its employees, founders, contractors, partners, affiliates, vendors, or service providers.

2. Services Covered

These Terms apply to all LegalEase services, including services offered through LegalEase.com, Expungement.ai, RCAP, RecordShield, StartApart, ClaimCoach, Wilma, partner pages, partner dashboards, intake tools, screening tools, document-generation tools, customer support, communications, and future LegalEase products.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the services unless you are using them with involvement and permission from a parent or legal guardian or unless a specific product permits otherwise.

You may use the services only if you can legally enter into a binding agreement and only in compliance with these Terms and applicable law.

4. Accounts

Some services may require an account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your login credentials secure, and notify us promptly of unauthorized access.

You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.

LegalEase may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, create security risks, involve fraud, misuse the services, or expose LegalEase or others to legal risk.

5. Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

Providing accurate and complete information; reviewing all answers, forms, documents, packets, checklists, and outputs before using them; confirming deadlines, filing requirements, fees, signatures, notarization requirements, service requirements, and court rules; deciding whether to file, submit, mail, sign, or rely on any materials; determining whether to seek help from a licensed attorney; and complying with all applicable laws.

LegalEase cannot verify every fact you provide. Incorrect, incomplete, outdated, or misleading information may cause incorrect results.

6. No Guaranteed Outcomes

LegalEase does not guarantee eligibility, expungement, sealing, record clearing, dismissal, court acceptance, filing acceptance, agency action, background-check correction, employment outcome, housing outcome, licensing outcome, immigration outcome, or any legal result.

Courts, judges, clerks, prosecutors, agencies, employers, landlords, background-check companies, licensing bodies, and other third parties make their own decisions.

7. Legal Information, Not Legal Advice

LegalEase may provide general legal information, educational content, guided questions, self-help workflows, document-preparation support, checklists, and explanations. This information is not legal advice and may not apply to your specific situation.

You should consult a licensed attorney if you need legal advice, representation, strategic judgment, interpretation of law, deadline analysis, immigration advice, criminal-defense advice, or advice about your specific rights and risks.

8. AI-Assisted Features

LegalEase may use AI-assisted tools, including Wilma, to help explain information, guide intake, summarize user-provided facts, generate draft text, and support workflows.

AI outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or not applicable to your situation. You agree not to rely on AI outputs as legal advice. You are responsible for reviewing outputs before using them.

LegalEase may update, modify, limit, or discontinue AI-assisted features at any time.

9. Document Preparation

Some LegalEase services may help generate draft forms, packets, letters, checklists, summaries, or other materials based on information you provide and rules available to the system.

You are responsible for reviewing all materials before use. You are responsible for signatures, notarization, filing fees, service, mailing, court filing, follow-up, hearings, and deadlines unless a specific written agreement clearly says otherwise.

LegalEase does not guarantee that any form, packet, or document will be accepted by any court, agency, employer, landlord, background-check company, or other third party.

10. State Coverage and Legal Changes

Legal rules vary by state, county, court, agency, case type, and date. Laws, forms, fees, procedures, and eligibility standards can change.

LegalEase may update or remove coverage at any time. A state or product being listed as available does not mean every person, case, charge, court, or situation is eligible or supported.

11. Partner Programs

LegalEase may work with nonprofits, community organizations, workforce programs, clinics, funders, cities, counties, legal-aid organizations, or other partners.

Partner pages and intake links may be co-branded or program-specific. Partners are independent from LegalEase unless expressly stated otherwise. Partner involvement does not make LegalEase a law firm and does not create an attorney-client relationship with LegalEase.

If you access services through a partner program, information may be shared with that partner as described in our Privacy Policy and any applicable partner-specific notice.

12. Payments

Some services are free. Others require one-time fees, subscriptions, partner payments, or other charges.

You agree to pay all fees shown at checkout or in an applicable order form, subscription plan, partner agreement, statement of work, or written agreement.

Fees may be charged by LegalEase or by a third-party payment processor.

13. Refunds

Unless a product page, checkout page, partner agreement, or written agreement states otherwise, fees are refundable only before the paid deliverable is generated, made available, activated, launched, or substantially performed.

Once a packet, document, report, dashboard, partner setup, analysis, eligibility result, workflow, generated material, or other paid deliverable has been generated, made available, activated, or substantially performed, fees are generally nonrefundable.

For subscriptions, cancellation stops future billing but does not automatically refund prior charges unless required by law or expressly stated in the applicable plan.

If you believe you were charged in error, contact info@legalease.law.

14. Prohibited Uses

You may not:

Use the services for unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, harmful, or abusive purposes; provide false or misleading information; impersonate another person; access another user’s account or data without permission; upload information about another person without authority; use LegalEase outputs to commit fraud or misrepresent legal status; scrape, crawl, copy, or harvest the services without permission; reverse engineer, interfere with, or attack the services; bypass security, rate limits, paywalls, or access controls; use the services to provide unauthorized legal services; resell the services without written permission; use the services to make employment, housing, credit, insurance, licensing, lending, or similar eligibility decisions unless expressly authorized in a separate written agreement; or use the services in any way that violates these Terms or applicable law.

15. FCRA Restriction

Unless LegalEase expressly states otherwise in a separate written agreement and provides required FCRA notices, no LegalEase product or output is a consumer report, and you may not use LegalEase services or outputs to determine a person’s eligibility for employment, housing, credit, insurance, licensing, lending, or any other FCRA-regulated purpose.

16. User Content

You retain ownership of information and documents you provide to LegalEase.

You grant LegalEase a limited license to use, host, process, copy, transmit, display, generate outputs from, and create derivative workflow materials from your content as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, support, improve, and operate the services; comply with law; enforce these Terms; and fulfill purposes described in the Privacy Policy.

You represent that you have the right to provide any information or documents you submit.

17. LegalEase Intellectual Property

The services, software, workflows, designs, text, graphics, logos, product names, forms, templates, databases, prompts, interfaces, AI workflows, branding, and other LegalEase materials are owned by LegalEase or its licensors and are protected by law.

You may use LegalEase materials only as permitted through the services. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, or create competing products from LegalEase materials without written permission.

18. Feedback

If you provide ideas, suggestions, comments, or feedback, you grant LegalEase the right to use them without restriction or compensation.

19. Communications

You agree that LegalEase may contact you by email, SMS, phone, mail, in-app message, or other reasonable means about your account, transactions, services, support requests, security, legal notices, and product updates.

You may opt out of marketing communications, but we may still send transactional, security, legal, or service-related messages.

20. Third-Party Services

The services may rely on or link to third-party websites, courts, agencies, payment processors, hosting providers, analytics providers, AI providers, partners, or other services.

LegalEase is not responsible for third-party content, policies, security, accuracy, availability, or actions.

21. Beta, Pilot, and Experimental Features

Some services may be offered as beta, pilot, early-access, experimental, or limited-release features. These features may be incomplete, changed, suspended, or discontinued at any time.

Beta and pilot features are provided as-is and may contain errors.

22. Disclaimers

The services are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, LegalEase disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, reliability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, availability, and error-free operation.

LegalEase does not warrant that the services will meet your needs, produce a particular result, be accepted by a court or agency, be uninterrupted, be secure, or be free from errors.

23. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LegalEase, its officers, directors, employees, contractors, affiliates, partners, vendors, and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, or enhanced damages; lost profits; lost revenue; lost data; lost opportunity; loss of goodwill; legal consequences; missed deadlines; filing rejection; court denial; background-check results; employment, housing, licensing, immigration, or financial consequences; or any damages arising from reliance on LegalEase outputs.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LegalEase’s total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid to LegalEase for the specific service giving rise to the claim in the six months before the event giving rise to liability, or $100 if you paid nothing.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some limitations may not apply to you.

24. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless LegalEase, its officers, directors, employees, contractors, affiliates, partners, vendors, and licensors from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from your use of the services, your violation of these Terms, your violation of law, your content, your misuse of outputs, or your infringement of another person’s rights.

25. Suspension and Termination

LegalEase may suspend or terminate access to the services at any time if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk, failed to pay fees, misused the services, provided false information, violated law, or threatened the security or integrity of the services.

You may stop using the services at any time.

26. Changes to Services

LegalEase may modify, suspend, or discontinue any service, feature, product, price, workflow, coverage area, or content at any time.

27. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last Updated” date will show when these Terms were last revised. Continued use of the services after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.

28. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable consumer-protection laws require otherwise.

29. Arbitration Agreement

Please read this section carefully. It affects your rights.

You and LegalEase agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms, the services, payments, communications, privacy, or your relationship with LegalEase will be resolved by binding individual arbitration, except that either party may bring qualifying claims in small claims court or seek injunctive or equitable relief for misuse of intellectual property, unauthorized access, security abuse, or misuse of confidential information.

The arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association under its applicable rules. The arbitration will take place in Delaware unless the parties agree to remote proceedings or another location.

You and LegalEase waive the right to a jury trial.

30. Class Action Waiver

You and LegalEase agree that disputes will be resolved only on an individual basis. You may not bring a claim as a plaintiff or class member in a class action, consolidated action, representative action, private attorney general action, or similar proceeding.

If this class action waiver is found unenforceable as to a particular claim, that claim must proceed in court and not arbitration, unless otherwise required by law.

31. Venue

For disputes not subject to arbitration, you and LegalEase consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in New Castle County, Delaware, or Wilmington, Delaware, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

32. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.

33. No Waiver

LegalEase’s failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of its right to do so later.

34. Assignment

You may not assign these Terms without LegalEase’s written consent. LegalEase may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, financing, or by operation of law.

35. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Disclaimer, product-specific terms, checkout terms, order forms, partner agreements, and any other written agreement that applies to a specific service, form the entire agreement between you and LegalEase regarding the services.
